Mini Elf Haul | Eyes Lips & Face

♥ Mini ELF Cosmetics Haul ♥
Hi everyone! The other week I purchased some ELF products from http://eyeslipsface.co.uk. I have to admit, I have never really been a huge fan of ELF. I had purchased from here a couple of years ago and although it was extremely cheap, the quality was not great at all (I guess you get what you pay for!). After browsing the website last week, I noticed the choice of makeup seemed to have improved, the prices have also slightly increased which suggests to me that the quality has also improved. After careful consideration, I thought I would take my chances and purchase a few items.

Lipsticks (in order) : Posh, Fearless, Sociable, Party Pink (Mineral) and Rich Raspberry (Mineral)
I was pleasantly surprised with these lipsticks, especially the two mineral lipsticks. They all glide onto the lips so smoothly and they also smell quite nice as well. There is no shimmer to them, they are all completely matte. The only downside to the non-mineral lipsticks is the fact that they wipe off quite easily so you will find yourself reapplying all throughout the day.  I do think these lipsticks are great if you want to experiment with colours that you have not used before.

If you have never tried a red lip before, or perhaps you are unsure if a coral pink would suit you, I would definitely advise you to check out the ELF lipsticks as it's better to pay £1.95 rather than £15.00 for a particular colour you're unsure of. I absolutely love the mineral lipsticks, they are just as good as the drugstore lip products, I would definitely purchase some more.

Nail Polish Set (Beach Party)
I can only say good things about this nail polish set. All three of the colours are absolutely gorgeous. They also dry really quickly and glide onto the nails with so much ease.

My favourite is Flirty Fuscia purely because I love having bright pink nails. It's such a bright and pretty colour which really stands out. Below is 'Coral Dream' which is also a gorgeous colour. It's very summery and it is a colour which will go with absolutely anything you wear as it's quite neutral with a nice hint of a peachy colour.

I tend not to wear red nail varnish very often, only because it is extremely bold. However, I will definitely be using this nail varnish for nights out when I am either wearing a red dress or a nice black dress with a red lip. They are all lovely colours and similar to the mineral lipsticks, I will definitely be purchasing some more.

I also purchased the Beauty Book and the False Eyelashes. I will be testing both of these products out over the next couple of days and I will shortly be writing a review on them. So far so good with the ELF cosmetics, I am impressed.

Mac Cosmetics | Haul

♥ MAC Cosmetics | Haul
I couldn't resist buying some more Mac products. I will hold my hands up and admit 'I am a MAC addict'. The products I purchased were: Two Mac eye shadow's in Shroom and Handwritten, MAC Pro Longwear Blush Whole Lotta Love, MAC Eyelashes, MAC Moisturecover Concealer NW25, Two MAC Lipstick's in Angel and Ruby Woo.

The MAC Angel Lipstick is such a gorgeous colour. It's a very soft, baby pink shade which gives a really nice subtle shimmer to the lips. Its great for an every day makeup look as it is a very natural pinky nude colour which is perfect for that natural makeup look.

After swatching the Angel Lipstick, I realised that it is very similar to the Maybelline 112 Ambre Rose Lipstick when applied to the lips. If you are on a budget, I definitely would say that you could get away with using the Ambre Rose Lipstick and still have a very similar finish to the MAC Angel Lipstick. They are both baby pink and still provide that subtle shimmer to the lips.

Left MAC Angel £15.00
Right Maybelline Ambre Rose £4.99

I was really excited to purchase MAC's Ruby Woo. I have never worn red lipstick before in my life, I usually tend to stick to more neutral pinks and nudes. However, after watching tutorials on YouTube I soon realised that this would be a great colour to have in my makeup collection for a nice bold evening makeup look. I am now looking forward to experimenting with this colour!

MAC Cosmetics | Mini Haul

♥ MAC Cosmetics | Mini Haul
Over the weekend, I decided to spalsh a little on some MAC makeup products. For as long as I can remember, I have always alternated between two foundations - Rimmel Match Perfection Foundation and MakeupForever HD. I had never really felt the need to go out and try something new as both of these foundations are great in my opinion.

After quite some time deliberating, I decided to take the leap and try out a new foundation - Studio Fix Fluid NC40. Before committing to buy the product, I checked out the reviews and it seemed to be a popular foundation within the MAC brand with the majority of reviews being positive. Whilst browsing, I couldn't help but add a few extra MAC items to the checkout which caught my eye.

♥ MAC Satin Lipstick | Pink Nouveau

It was a pretty big gamble parting ways with hard earned cash without actually seeing the product in front of me. It is extremely difficult to get a feel of the colour from the colour-charts provided online. I was looking for a very pretty, girly pink which would give my lips a really nice pop of colour. I was certainly not disappointed when I opened the packaging. The pink is bright, but not overpoweringly bright - It is simply a gorgeous shade.

The majority of lipsticks that I own either have no smell, or have a strange hard-to-describe scent to them. To my surprise, this lipstick smells literally like cupcakes. It glides on so smoothly and doesn't require re-application over and over again for the colour to show. This is definitely one of my favourite lipsticks at the moment.

♥ I would definitely recommend this product | 9.5 / 10
